Some developers, such as Aspyr and Feral Interactive, were open about which of their back-catalog games wouldnt be updated to 64-bit.

But there are potentially hundreds of 32-bit Mac games that will never be updated.

Many see it as an aggressive move that hurts both consumers and developers alike.

Apples decision could be debated at length, but we should take a moment to recognize the work several developers are currently doing to give their back-catalog games 64-bit support.

More importantly, if youre looking to buy a new Mac, it will come with Catalina pre-installed.

This is why the current state of Steam on macOS Catalina is a shame.

For some reason, the Steam client itself has an update for Catalina, but it wont update automatically.
